As an out-of-network provider, I'm not contracted with insurance companies, but I'll gladly support you in making therapy accessible.

What makes the process easy:

I’ll submit your out-of-network insurance claims — no admin work for you

✓ Option to pay just your co-pay at the time of session after meeting your deductible

✓ Most clients with OON benefits pay $20-70 per session after reimbursement

✓ All major credit cards accepted

Focus on Therapy, Not Administrative Hassles

While I don't accept insurance directly, many of my clients are able to receive partial or full reimbursement for session fees through their out-of-network mental health benefits. I've set up systems to make getting reimbursed and using your benefits hands-off for you.

Making Insurance Reimbursement Easy

I’ll submit insurance claims for you automatically after each session. No forms to fill out, nothing to mail, no confusing insurance websites to navigate. Just come to your sessions and receive reimbursement directly to your bank account.

Two Payment Options:

  1. Traditional reimbursement: Pay the full session fee, and receive reimbursement directly to your bank account (typically 50-80% back per session).

  2. Pay only your co-pay: Once you've met your deductible, you can choose to pay just your portion at each session – no waiting for reimbursement.

Both options work with your existing out-of-network benefits.

Check Your Insurance Benefits

This tool provides an estimate based on your insurance information. Actual reimbursement amounts may vary depending on your specific plan details and deductibles.

Curious about what your insurance plan covers? Use the benefits checker below to get an instant estimate of your potential reimbursement.

How it Works

Starting therapy: You'll pay the session fee at each appointment (or just your co-pay if you choose that option after meeting your deductible).

Your deductible: Most plans have an out-of-network deductible – an amount you pay before insurance kicks in. Good news: any out-of-network providers you've seen this year count toward the same deductible.

After your deductible: Your insurance reimburses you directly for 50-80% of each session. Most of my clients end up paying between $20-70 per session.

Timeline: Reimbursements typically arrive within 30-60 days, and any delays or issues with claims are followed up on automatically.

FAQs

How do I know if I have out-of-network benefits? Use the benefits checker above for an instant estimate! You can also verify directly with your insurance by calling the number on your card. Here's what to ask:

  • "Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?"

  • "What's my annual out-of-network deductible for mental health services?"

  • "After I meet my deductible, what percentage does my plan cover for out-of-network therapy?"

  • "Is there a limit on the number of therapy sessions per year?"

  • "Does my plan cover telehealth?"

  • "Do I need a referral or pre-authorization for out-of-network mental health services?"

What insurance plans typically work best? PPO plans usually offer the best out-of-network coverage. Plans like United Healthcare, Aetna, Cigna, and Blue Cross Blue Shield PPOs often reimburse 50-80% of my fee and in New York, NYSHIP plans also tend to offer high reimbursement.

Will I have to deal with insurance paperwork? No! Claims are submitted automatically after each session. You'll simply receive reimbursements directly to your bank account.

How does the co-pay option work? Once you've met your deductible, you can choose to pay only your portion (typically $20-70) at each session instead of the full fee. Everything is handled behind the scenes for you.

What if I haven't met my deductible yet? Your session fees count toward meeting it. Many clients find they've already made progress through other healthcare expenses. Once met, your reimbursements begin.

How long does reimbursement take? Typically 30-60 days, though this varies by insurance company. Some are faster, some slower. If there are delays or issues, they're automatically followed up on.

What if I don't have out-of-network benefits or prefer not to use insurance? That's perfectly fine! Many clients choose to pay privately for various reasons – privacy concerns, wanting a simpler process, or not having coverage. The session fee is $225, and I accept all major credit cards. Paying privately also means no diagnosis requirements or insurance-mandated treatment limitations.

Do you offer reduced rates? Yes, I reserve a limited number of sliding scale spots for those experiencing financial hardship or without mental health benefits. Please contact me to discuss your situation.
